About Threadies.org

Threadies.org is an independant Threadless community-driven website with the intention of being an archive and resource for community members. Sanctioned by, but not affiliated with, Threadless or SkinnyCorp, Threadies was born out of a need for a venue to showcase and document the awesomeness that is Threadless. Threadies will also serve as a resource for designers and community members providing design and software tips and information to make the Threadless experience easier and more enjoyable.

Below is a summary of the different areas of the website, what they do and what they can do for you.

Contests

Documenting and archiving contests and themes that originate from, and are organized by, fellow Threadless community members. Some past examples are Staffell's "The Joy of Text" contest, Travis' "Revolutions", and Rockslide's "Battle Royale". This section will also contain information about upcoming contest rules, voting procedures, contestants, etc.

Threadies will not be documenting any of the Threadless-driven contest such as Extra Tasty Loves Threadless. Our main concern here is to help out and document community driven themes and events »»

Favorites

This section of the website will feature the Top Picks from community members like Xiv, Tesco, Bortwein, Franx, Staffell, etc. This will be for archiving the really amazing (and not so amazing) submissions that are the favorites of some of the best designers on Threadless. This section will serve as a resource for all you budding designers out there. It will be chalked full of how-to's and helpful tips on making the most of programs like Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop; as well as helpful design dos and don'ts. All the tips and tricks will be specific to the creation of tshirt submissions for Threadless, with a few Photoshop trick for making the most of your product picts cause everyone needs more street team points, right? »»

what is this "threadless" you keep refering to?

For those of you that have wandered into here from the internet, Threadless is an ongoing t-shirt design contest whereby 'the masses' can submit t-shirt designs, using a template available on their website, then 'the masses' vote on the submitted designs. The winning designs are printed and sold on the Threadless website with (on average) 4 new shirts released every week.
